Global electronic network for forex settlement, whose office is based in Belgium. Known for the SWIFT Code, which is an 8 or 11 alphanumeric character international standard that uniquely identifies financial institutions for the purpose of transfers and settlement. The SWIFT code is also known as BIC (Bank Identifier Code).
